The Development and Validation of the Firesetting Questionnaire

Abstract This research developed and evaluated a measure to examine fire-specific constructs relevant fire misuse. In the first study, using UK community members asked disclose deliberate firesetting, we tested large pool of theoretically informed questionnaire items. First, found that 1 in 10 adults reported setting they had not been apprehended for. Then, exploratory confirmatory factor analyses suggested an eight-factor with broader coverage theoretically-informed risk factors, relative previous measures, acceptable test item validity robust internal consistencies. second Firesetting Questionnaire imprisoned men who held record firesetting comparisons.
